THE LAST RUNE OF RUNGARDVIK

The Last Rune of Rungardvik is a 12th-century historical fantasy series rooted in Norse and Slavic mythology,

secret rituals, and the hidden truths beneath the empire.

Here, you’ll find more than stories—you’ll find echoes.

Of Seers, Shieldmaidens and Valkyries. Of buried runes and condemned rites.

Of ancestral power long suppressed by the march of Christendom.

This is a saga for those who remember. Or who long to.

Inside these halls, you can explore the lore of the Elder Futhark,

meet the guardians of the story—Milena, David, Brynjar, Dobrawa, and others,

receive ancient whispers through our Rune Scrolls (email updates + exclusive gifts),

and follow the journey of The Last Rune of Rungardvik, one book—and one rune—at a time.

You are welcome here whether you seek myth, memory, or meaning. Lay down your sword. Light the hearth fire, pour yourself a horn of mead, and listen to the runes speaking their truths.

Far beyond the edge of empire and the reach of bishops and priests lies a forgotten world—one shaped by runes, ruled by storms, and guarded by spirits older than kings.

This is Rungardvik: a northern stronghold where Norse gods are still honored in sacred groves, where the old ways endure in silence and song, and where destiny is carved not in parchment but in stone.

To reach it is to uncover what was meant to be erased, and what the runes never forgot.

Perhaps you, too, will become part of this sacred journey—one that, for now, lives only as a whisper.

The path is waiting. The first rune has already been cast.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alessa Mecklenburg, author of The Last Rune of Rungardvik series, amidst nature with a serene, contemplative express

Alessa Mecklenburg writes where myth and memory intertwine. A storyteller rooted in ancestral soil, her work draws from the forgotten corners of Norse and Slavic history—places where gods once walked among mortals, and runes whispered secrets to those willing to listen.

Born with one foot in the old world and the other in the unseen, Alessa spent years building immersive mythic worlds before turning her full devotion to the written word. Her debut series, The Last Rune of Rungardvik, is the culmination of dedicated research, spiritual intuition, and lived creative experience—an epic tale of a woman’s defiance against fate, and the ancient power hidden in the spaces between.

When she’s not writing, Alessa finds comfort in life’s quieter rituals—tending the garden, walking in the woods, and reading by candlelight. Her connection to myth, history, and ancestral memory weaves through her work, not as an escape, but as a way to reconnect with what we’ve nearly forgotten.
